In cooperation with ASEAN-Korea Forest Cooperation, the ASEAN-Korea Centre will be holding the 2015 ASEAN-Korea Youth Network Workshop from the 10th to the 18th of August 2015 in Korea and Indonesia, with the theme “ASEAN and Korean Youth in the Forefront of Forest Conservation.” The Program is expected to accommodate 100 ASEAN and Korean students, 80 of which are Korea-based students, while the other 20 are ASEAN-based Forestry major students.
The first part of the Workshop will be held in Seoul and Gangwon Province in Korea, and will comprise of activities such as lectures on forests to be conducted by experts from Indonesia, visit relevant institutions such as the Korea Forest Research Institute, UCC making and team-building activities. The second part, on the other hand, will include visits to sites in Indonesia such as the Wanagama Field, Secretariat and Borobudur Temple, and cultural activities like Batik making.
The application for the Workshop is on-going and will end on the 30th of June at 6:00 p.m., Korea time. Document screening and interview will be done afterwards. The processing of applications of ASEAN and Korean students who are based in Korea is handled by the Centre, while ASEAN-Korea Forest Cooperation is in charge of the applications of ASEAN-based Forestry major students.
