The 78 kilometres of island has an area of 43 kilometres of beaches and the rest mostly covered with forest. The interior of the island is hilly and forested.

This is probably the closest island to paradise one dreams of. You can do diving, snorkelling, mountain biking, trekking, kayaking and motorbike trekking. Even just enjoying the sun and sea or daydreaming in the bungalow can also make your day.

The island’s South-Eastern tip is the point of arrival which has become the settlement centre for all tourists.

You can find moderate number of guesthouses and bungalow resorts on the island. It has been well known as a great place for snorkelling and diving. The island also is home to one of the country most luxurious resort, Song Saa Private Island.

Situated in Mittakpheap district of Sihanoukville province, the island consisted of five islands in Koh Rong commune. For years the island is almost completely undeveloped and so far the visitors can visit by boats through the sea, as there is no road network yet.

The stunning views and gorgeous sea has attracted famous production companies to set up bases at Soksan Base Camp hotel.

The island also hosted the popular reality program, Survivor. In 2012, the French edition of the program was produced on Koh Rong, and production returned to the island in 2013 for another season. In 2015 the American edition of Survivor also produced its season 31 and 32 on the island. The sixteenth edition of Expedition Robinson, Sweden’s Survivor, was also filmed on the island.
